“Every dreamer knows that it is entirely possible to be homesick for a place you’ve never been to, perhaps more homesick than for familiar ground.” ~ Judith Thurman
What experiences are you up for?
An African river safari on the elegant “Zambezi Queen”? Or maybe swimming with whale sharks in La Paz, Mexico? Or expedition cruising in Antarctica – for its perky penguins, snowy white mountains and icebergs as big as toppled skyscrapers? How about living like a wealthy local (at least feeling like one) at the colonial Belmond Casa de Sierra Nevada in the fairy-tale town of San Miguel de Allende? Or stand-up paddleboarding along a tranquil Kauai river?
Then there’s New Zealand, for its “bush walks,” Maori history and elegant wines. Zanzibar for its spice tours and “reef walking.” Egypt for its Pharaonic temples. And Thailand, for its gold sand beaches, sea kayaking and traditional Thai massage.
There are many wonderful places around the world we can tell you about.
